Tough Mudder Update

25th August 2013
What a long day we have all had....even for us spectators. Meeting up in Dunfermline, we headed together in George and Mandy's car. Myself, my brother James, Mandy, George and George's work mate Claire. There was a long walk from the car park to get to Base and we passed all these poor battered, bruised and dirty participants all wearing their orange head bands and finishing T shirts. Once we got to base we regestered and in we went. The place was buzzing. Hundreds of people all getting ready for their alloted slot to start the 12 mile long, approx 3 hour, assault course, with loads of loud music and hype. George and his team from Bannatyne's Gym set off at 2pm with hundreds of others and we walked the spectator route to see them do some of the obstacles. Mud, barbed wire, icy water, & electric wires were some of the gruelling things they had to endure. They all did brilliantly and completed the course in about 2 hours and 40 minutes. We are all tired out just from the wandering about watching everyone so I can't imaging how they are all feeling tonight. We had a lovely meal together earlier this evening and all had a good laugh which rounded the whole day off nicely. I can't thank George enough for doing this in Colin's memory. Well done to the whole team.
